Kolonaki 2 bedroom Flat

Last minute Positive: Not the apt we asked Negative: I booked this apartment mainly because of its location in Kolonaki, very close to friends, and because the photos were extremely appealing. Only a few hours before check-in, the host contacted me to say that due to a “technical issue” the apartment would no longer be available. While a refund was mentioned, this communication came far too late. With proper management, this could and should have been communicated earlier. Even more problematic: while we were already in a taxi on the way to the apartment, the host proposed an alternative property of his. At that point, what choice did we realistically have? Of course we had to accept — but this is not how guests should be treated. Last-minute cancellations, sudden changes and pressure to accept a different accommodation are extremely stressful, especially when travelling. Regardless of the explanation, this is unprofessional and unacceptable. I would not recommend this property or this host.
